    Mixed review

    I was so excited to receive this book. I like Le Guin’s work. That she had spent so long in study of the Tao I kind of hoped and expected more expansive commentary and interpretation. Her translations are commendably sparse but when I compare them with others I did find some explanatory nuance and some things missing. I will need to spend more time with this slim but meaningful volume. A useful addition to the literature.
