Installed a lot easier than I thought. Went into a 02 745Li with 111k on it. If you want to save frustration remove your exhaust to get the the electrical plug on the trans. Do your first fill, then bolt up everything and do your second fill at recommended temperature. This kit along with new seals (bought separately) made my car feel brand new! No more clunking into 1st coming to a stop. No more slipping down shifting on the freeway or accelerating. I'm so happy.Installed a lot easier than I thought. Went into a 02 745Li with 111k on it. Fixed a $7000 Problem
BMW INSISTED there was no way to fix my transmission given the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) they were reading on their computer short of replacing my transmission with a newly remanufactured unit at $7000 plus another $630 in sales taxes, or $7630.00 roughly. I purchased this kit ($189), and my local shop installed the part in 3 hours ($345 labor), so for LESS than just the sales tax BMW wanted to charge me, I have my beautifully working 7 Series BMW back on the road. I did have to replace the transmission fluid and filter after the installation of the part (another $200) for a total of $745 plus tax, saving me almost $7000!! BMW swore that the replacement parts (which are made by ZF, the company that built the BMW transmission) were inferior to ZF components re-inspected by BMW before ...
