    You'd better switch to a newer platform. These DIMMs require too much power

    The picture is not good, the FBDIM modules have big heatsink on them because of the embedded memory controler. This is an outdated technology ram. They perform quite well but use too much energy and generate too much heat. You'd better switch to a newer platform.

    Does not work with all laptop vendors

    I tried installing to an HP 8540w Elite Workstation but to my surprise the memory timing did no work as a result I gave to a friend that had a later model. Tried everything bios upgrade settings never got it to work!
