OEM Subaru Power Steering O-Ring
I used this oring on my 2008 Subaru STI because my power steering was having an issue. This fixed the problem with out having to replace the power steering pump. OEM quality part. It took less than 10 minutes to install and works great.

Exact OEM replacement O-ring
Exact OEM replacement O-ring for power steering pump on our 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5L. Don't get o-rings with approximate measurements. We tried a few nearly identical o-rings purchased locally, but the leak persisted. This is the correct part.

Worth it.
Sure, other O-rings will fit and may work for a while, but the good folks at Subaru figured out that the materials uses in this one address the shortcomings in the old version. At first, I thought it was a high price for a "piece of rubber" but I went ahead and bought 2 of them just in case I ruined one. The first one worked beautifully. I went from the nagging squeal of my better half (that's called a joke we have a healthy relationship where we can say stuff like that and not get offended) to the blissful peace of a silent power steering system. Completely DIY friendly, I did it in the morning without changing out of my PJ's. To think there was talk of taking it to a mechanic and paying labor rates for that. TL;DR Try it. If it doesn't fix the squeal the pump is probably bad. This ... quick easy fix for a leaking Subaru power steering pump
My 07 wrx power steering developed hard spots and vibration when turning. Replacing this oring immediately fixed the issue saving me alot of money. Took 5 minutes to replace and bleed out the air. Genuine Subaru oem part.
