I read on a gardening site that this helps with evaporation, it doesn't. Only thing it does is prevent algae and make water go blue. I have plants and fish for algae control, so really all it does it dye water. Postage was pricey for a small bottle compared to my bigger parcels which have free p&h or it's alot cheaper.

Correct, as stated on the bottle and in the instructions, Blue Lagoon is for algae control. We have never claimed it reduces evaporation.
