    Sometimes simpler is better!

    I purchased this thermostat to replace an old analog one that lacked precise temperature settings. The thermostat control the climate of a large multipurpose room and there was no benefit to having advanced settings. Honeywell has always been a go-to brand for me and I am still pleased with the brand after the added use of this product. This is a very simple thermostat with just a heat, off and cool settings. The only other settings are for the fan, auto and on, with up and down arrow buttons and temperature display to control the temperature settings. It does not have a back-light in the display but nether did what it replaced. The unit uses the typical two AAA batteries for power to operate. instillation is simply two screws in the back mounting plate that in my case lined up with the ...

    DIDN'T WORK AS DESCRIBED!!

    I BOUGHT 3 OF THESE TO OPEN 4 ZONES ON AN IN-FLOOR HEAT SYSTEM. I NEEDED TO OPEN 2 ZONES WITH THEIR OWN THERMOSTATS & IN THE MAIN SHOP ARE 1 THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO OPEN 2 ZONES. THE THERMOSTATS ARE RATED @ 1amp. THE ZONE ACTUATORS NEEDED 0.2ampS FOR 500ms @ THEN IT SWITCHES TO 0.1amp CONTINUAL DRAW. IN REALITY I SHOULD BE ABLE TO OPEN 5 ZONES AT ONCE! THE ACTUATORS ARE HONEYWELL MT4-24S-NC SO THEY SHOULD HAVE WORKED WELL WITH THESE THERMOSTATS. I INSTALLED A CHEAP LUX BRAND ON THE 2-ZONE AREA @ ALL WORKS WELL.

    Simple and functional.

    Needed this to replace 1966 original thermostat. Didn't want programming or any other features, just set it and forget it. This item matches up with the old wires and was easy to install, worked great, and was priced far less then others in this category.

    Basic thermostat, simple, and works great

    I had the same thermostat for several years until a shorted 24vac control cable to the compressor/heat exchanger fried the A/C contacts in the thermostat (as well as destroying the 24vac control transformer.) I replaced the old transformer with this identical new one because I didn't need to replace the mounting base and I was quite satisfied with the flawless performance of the old thermostat. It is not programmable, so no "bells and whistles" but I don't need a more "advanced" thermostat since I am home all of the time. I believe this model is obsolete, but there still seems to be plenty of inventory at various vendors. Incidentally, this model provides a tight 1 degree temperature control cycle range - which I like!

    Honeywell Digital Non-Programable Thermostat

    My old digital thermostat was programmable and sometimes it would not work on Hold. I have no interest in programming a thermostat and love the simplicity of "set it and forget it." The Honeywell Digital Non-Programmable was simple to install and it works great. I highly recommend this Honeywell thermostat, which works with both a furnace and a central air conditioner.
