It can be calibrated in units of around 0.1 mm and users can put a calibrated scale on the images that are taken after calibration. Images are clear enough to see detail around 0.1 mm, with less clarity but still able to identify features around 0.01 mm. The stand is acceptable for the price. The microscope isn't sturdy so it takes time and patience to figure out how to position the scope and the sample so that it is in clearest focus for taking the photos.

I didn't even use the teenie little disk for downloading the software. Don't even need it. Just go onto your own computers web cam and instead of using your own webcam as a feed, switch to the mini cam device. Just AWESOME!!! Highly recommended professional seller and the product is priced wise and justified.
