About this product

Product Information

The third and final Mortal Kombat game on Saturn combines characters, stages, and moves from earlier installments in the violent fighting series. Choose from a total of 36 playable characters, including alternate versions of Kano, Jax, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Kung Lao. As in previous games, you must fight and defeat each opponent in succession in your quest to confront the evil Shao Khan. Each match is a best-of-three contest that involves depleting a rival's health, at which point you can initiate a character-specific "-ality" move: fatality, animality, babality, or brutality.

One of the key new features in Mortal Kombat Trilogy is the "Aggressor Kombat Mode." Landing combos fills a horizontal meter that, when maxed, lets characters unleash even more powerful attacks. In addition to the single-player arcade mode, players can challenge a friend to a one-on-one fight, a two-on-two battle, or engage in a round-robin tournament spanning eight combatants. Defeating Shao Khan has the added benefit of unlocking up to 12 treasure boxes, with surprises ranging from a Galaga mini-game to video demonstrations of the title's fatalities.

  • Choose Your Destiny!

Mortal Kombat Trilogy makes its way to the Saturn. I've been a big fan of Mortal Kombat since the franchise debuted. There are many characters to choose from(default and hidden). The graphics are nice for what the Saturn has to offer. Music is cool too. Lots of backgrounds(New and Classics). You will have a blast challenging your friends or going solo against the CPU. There are lots of moves for all the characters. My favorite characters are Sub Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, Rain, Reptile, Jade, Mileena, Kitana, Smoke, and Cyrax. Mortal Kombat Trilogy is definitely worth adding to your collection. Lots of characters = high replay value It can be rather expensive at times, but well worth it. I bought mine for $36 off here. There's one going for $84+ right now. Big spenders or serious game ...

  • Best MK Game For the Old Schoolers

What can I say? I've reviewed MK II for Genesis and 32X, UMK3 for Saturn, and now I get down to the best old school Mortal Kombat game for it's day. With the wide range of characters that you start out with and hidden (Charaters from MKI and II, Bosses, Hidden Noob Saibot, Smoke,ect...) As stated above, 32 characters, all the fighting arenas, some new ones. They fixed the long loading time from Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but not by much, though their is a noticeable differance. Like all games, this has it's own glitches, but it seems as they went unchecked for the game was rushed to meet deadlines and simply not corrected. 4/5 for an awesome 2-d fighter.

  • The last of a dying breed

Mortal Kombat is the staple of fighting games. The game that's memorialized the terms, "Fatality" and "Finish Him" and "GET OVER HERE!!" Although this game is 2D, but it definitely has a 3D feel as with all of the MK games. This game is fast paced and filled with the use of both combos and special moves. Mortal Kombat is also on Playstation and on Nintendo 64, but the Sega Saturn version is the best due to the fast loading time and the shape of the joystick (2 rows of three buttons on the same level as opposed to the competition). The Mortal Kombat brand always have wild and outrageous story lines for each character and as a whole connects with each edition. Trilogy uses the characters of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, 3, and Ultimate as well as their secret characters and bosses. Each are ...

  • FIGHT!

I used to play this game much back in the day. I would always play with my dad in 1 on 1 matches. The game was so much fun! Nowadays I got back into Mortal Kombat and put this one back in, it still holds up. The difficulty is a little high. It's got an awesome character selection. (Characters from MK1, MK2, MK3, & UMK3!) 2D Mortal Kombat is better than the new 3D games they have out. One of the greatest fighting games ever made.

  • Mortal Kombat Fan 4 Life

One of the best games ever made. Found this copy in excellent condition. Woudl reccomend to anybody to buy. Been playing Mortal Kombat since 1992. This game kombines all the characters of the first 5 games into one and has all the arenas from all the games also. A big recommendation for any MK fan. U wont be dissappointed. The graphics are a little slow on the Saturn platform but the N64 is crisp but the saturn has the arcade feel on a big screen tv.
