    It must be the apocalypse if I am sewing.

    Just because I can sew does not mean that I like to sew. I have an ancient Singer sewing machine from the 1960s that was my grandmother’s machine. It is in working order but loud and clunky. Time for an upgrade. Just like every other reluctant seamstress, Ineeded to sew some pandemic masks. This machine is a dream. An absolute dream. So easy to use, space-age even, compared to my Singer. It has a pushbutton start. I’ve always used a footpedal. I love the push button I love the sleek efficiency of this machine. I love the way that it’s lightweight. This is a machine that I highly recommend even for those of us who dislike sewing.

    Exactly what I was looking for!

    For me, this machine is a step up from a basic Janome (model 2212). I was looking for a machine that has variable speed control, and this is it. The 2212 gave me trouble when I wanted to start it at a slow speed. As I depressed the pedal, the motor would run, but the needle did not move. I discovered that what I was looking for is a machine with the VSC. I do not do quilting or embroidery, so I can't comment on that feature. I do mending, and make garments with a pattern, and this machine serves my purpose. Very happy.
