Does the trick
Nice little gun safe for your car. Just big enough for my Glock 17 and a spare magazine. Comes with multiple foam pads inside so you can change how snug you want/need your belongings. And with the steel tether properly secured to your vehicle it makes this a pretty good storage for an unattended gun. You can honestly say you did your due diligence in securing your gun in your car instead of just tossing it in the glove box and hoping for the best. Peace of mind.
I used to store my secondary firearm in my glove box which had a broken handle on it, but could still easily be opened with a screw driver or anything you can slide into the locking mechanism. Instead of replacing the useless overpriced handle I opted to buy the Snap Safe Lockbox and was able to safely secure my lockbox on the exposed metal frame ceiling of my trunk and tugged it nice and snuggled in a compartment. Piece of mind
This case is great. All CCW holders should have one. Great quality and the price for what you get is insane. Lock cable fits around just about everything and the way it attaches it takes no room from the case. I was going to swap between vehicles, but with quality and price I’m just going to get one for each vehicle! Inside liner really protects my guns from any unwanted scratches and allows room for my compact and several magazines. Super product.

Strong but Incomplete
This safe is ideal for,in vehicle out of site storage, but I suggest a small manufacturing modification to make the case a bit more user friendly. A second groove needs to be cut directly across from the cable retainer groove to accommodate the loop end of the cable. This will help with better securing the case around the base of a vehicles seat. Otherwise the case is extremely well made an virtually impossible to break into with basic hand tools. Great little lock box!
I am a testament that you can use this box to fly with a handgun. TSA approved. I used the cable to wrap around the handle aluminum supports of the suitcase and padlocked it to itself. I figured it would be a bit more safe than just having the loose lock box in the suitcase. I don't fly often so I believe that I'm now going to bolt it to the floorboard of my truck and keep and extra handgun in the truck.
