Great for budget PC build.
My Grandson at 7 years old took to computers real quick. Decided to build him a starter PC. A few old leftover parts and a freshly painted case, total investment 70 bucks and he is happy as a lark.

I have acquired the given processor having made a choice almost casually and have been extremely surprised by its characteristics. It really was cold without overclock really from 30 to 40 degrees. It was overclock without problems to frequency of 2.45 gigahertz(without overvoltage). I am very satisfied by this processor. Extremely I recommend it the best for the platform on a ratio the price (which only 10$) and productivity and also productivity for one watt of selected energy and though it is a trifle but it except technology qool'n'quit supports SSE3. Just a great old CPU for a low price that can still do plenty of things.
Even now, these old processors are very resilient and can do a lot more than you'd expect. Definitely not for your main PC but you can use them for plenty of other things.

Good low heat choice for installation on a socket 754 motherboard.
This is a good option for socket 754 motherboards. At 51W it is cool running for a socket 754 processor. Other versions of the Athlon 3000+ processor are 89W. It is lower even than a lot of the Sempron processors at 59W while providing a step up in performance from comparable speed Sempron processors.
