I purchased and installed an hdmi to component cable to use the hdmi output as an alternative. The hdmi wouldnt work at all. Laser have clearly done nothing to resolve the reported defects of the distant past. My advice is to buy a jarcor stb which i now understand to be a dick smith gh9544 clone and be unlikely to have issues. This is the absolute worst purchase experience i have had for some decades.
