The Year of Miss Agnes
A very nice book..It was probably written for the younger set but it is about an Alaskan village of years back..so its easy reading and a good read..it is about a young girl in the village and her school. Miss Agnes taught them so much in the year they had her and it made you smile to see how the world opened up to them from her teaching. A great book on the culture of Alaska. It shows how our kids need the attention and love of a teacher who is doing the job for the kids. Her ability to see problems and solve them was inspiring.
