    Whether you care about sports, sports heroes, baseball, baseball heroes, or movie star celebrities (Marilyn), this book is a blockbuster for anyone who appreciates good writing.! Richard Ben Cramer has created a refreshing and definitely original masterpiece of something that is more than a biography. Like Robert Cramer's STENGEL, this book is about the life AND TIMES of Joe DiMaggio. Cramer's Pulitzer Prize winning background in journalism allows him to report such a rich setting of people and events in Joe's time that the contrast makes Joe's story all the more vivid.
