I believe that we as a society have allowed academia to shape the minds of many of our sons and daughters, especially as they leave home and go on to higher education. Society has allowed academia to instill relativism in the minds of our brightest in the areas of morality and government. The heart wrenching anguish portrayed by Helen Hayes and Dean Jagger, as they witness the rock-solid values that good parents appeared to instill by via of their family life, patriotism and religious practice, was difficult for those good parents to accept. This to me, a former retired teacher of 41 yrs. and parent of three grown children, that this film has much value and substance that should remind us that the minds of our children are open to being misled by people who peddle evil to captive audiences in the classroom.
