The Mickey Rooney Judy Garland Collection is a true treasure trove of their collaborative movies. Titles include Babes in Arms, Babes on Broadway, Strike Up the Band, and Girl Crazy. The plots may seem corny today, but they are so innocent and great for the family to watch! And the music! Richard Rodgers & and Lorenz Hart, the Gershwins! That in itself makes these movies memorable, especially sung by Judy. In addition to each disc having a picture sleeve of the two, there is a bonus included containing photographs of Judy and Mickey in the movies, and on the sets! It's a beautiful addition to anyone's movie library.The Mickey Rooney Judy Garland Collection is a true treasure trove of their collaborative movies. Discs are defective!!!DON'T BUY!
Discs from 2007. May have been defective from manufacturing. 13 years is not a long time for well made DVD's. I see several reports of these discs that won't play. The ones I purchased looked fine on casual inspection, however, under a magnifying glass I saw signs of delamination inside the discs. I recommend: DON'T BUY!

Extremely Poor Quality
This collection was purchased as Christmas 2010 gift for my wife. We sat down together to watch it for the first time today (1-20-11). The collection was not opened until this afternoon. Problems: Babes in Arms disk doesn't play at all. Screen says "disk error". Tried it on a second dvd player with the same result. Strike Up The Band plays for awhile, and then sticks. It starts again, then sticks again, and we never got to the end of the movie. We put the other two movies in the dvd player and they started, but we haven't watched them yet and can only hope they play from start to finish. We did not try the 5th disc. We've purchased a number of the Walmart $5 (five dollar) multi-movie dvds and have never had problems, With the significantly ... This collection was purchased as Christmas 2010 gift for my wife. DVD Movies won't play?
Got this last year's as a Christmas gift the "The Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland Collection: Ultimate Collector’s Edition" on DVD. My gift was this wonderful collection of movies and due to the Coronavirus quarantine I finally had time to watch these movies, but the problem is they will not play? Of the five (5) DVDs only the Bonus DVD played and the other DVDs which had the movies made/copied in June 2007 all got the same message "No Suitable Decoder Module" or "No Disc" while in the DVD player. I even tried to watch them on my computer, but no luck.
