I have high arches and wide feet and have tried many different brands of shoe insoles over the years. None of them worked 100% in all kinds of shoes, any more than we'd expect all kinds of shoes to work equally well just because they are our size. These inserts happen to work very well for my feet in many of my shoes. I test new insoles by wearing one of my regular NB insoles in one shoe and a new insole in the other shoe. That direct comparison tells me if a new insole is an improvement.
