    Strong well built blender

    Very solid and powerful blender. Makes great smoothies and frozen Margaritas. Has a large pitcher so you can make a lot at once. Only downside is the bottom near the blades is narrow so it can sometimes not mix wel and you have to stop to give a stir.

    Refurbished is not as good as fresh from the factory

    I've owneda cuisineartblender before that I was extremely happy with. This one unfortunately does not copare. Whenever I turn on the motor I can smell the something metallic and industrial- like motor oil....the slow mode is irregular- startsof faster, then slows down. At least the fast mode is nice, strong and even. This blender does not have a timer, a featureI didn't even know I would miss until I strted making my smoothies. The best thing about it is that I got a clean, strong, sharp-bladed blender that cost me $40 instead of an arm and a leg... I appreciate the price and that it works!

    Not junk, but serious problems

    Whoever refurbished this unit should be fired. 1. The device is incredibly noisy. As far as I can determine the jar does not fit on the base properly, leaving play in the connectors for the blade unit. The whole thing vibrates as a result and I expect it would wear out quickly. 2. The cover does not appear to be of Cuisinart quality. It is flimsy and doesn’t fit as one would expect on a Cuisinart product. We have other Cuisinart devices. 3. The motor does not run at a constant rate - it speeds up and slows down with no human intervention. 4. As another reviewer states, the unit emits an odor I associate with burning wire. 5. The plug for the cover falls into the jar. This can be a problem when making a drink or anything else. Sadly, I was hoping this would be a quality device, worthy of ...

    Love this blender!

    This blender blends quickly and will crush ice with no problem. It has a pulse button, too. I like the wide base it sits on keeping it rock steady. The glass jar also has a wide base which makes it easy to clean plus adds to even blending.
