I love the ones that have a rough touch, a bit like sandpaper. I don´t see them no more going around. It will work at least for the oldie Thinkpads, since its hole is 4mm x 4mm. For the newer models, maybe I can get an adaptor to fit the 2mm x 2mm connector.
