  • Giant Recording for GIANT

This is a truly great CD. All of the tracks are very well polished and produced. It is a must have for those 80's Arena Rock fans. The Huff brothers actually wrote some songs that have some meaning and depth to them. Hits like "I'm a Believer" and the smash hit "I'll See You in My Dreams" and others are undoubtedly the best on the disc. They do have a Foreigner type sound and feel to there music on several songs. • Good Hard Rock

Giant was one of the last of a virtually dead breed. Formed in the late 80's, they were just a little late to really gain popularity in a genre that by then was fading away into history. By the time their debut CD "Last of the Runaways" hit the stores, Grunge was on the horizon and Radio-friendly hard rock was on it's way out. But that doesn't mean that you can't like it or it isn't good stuff, right? Giant did enjoy some Top 40 popularity in 1990 with "I'll See You In My Dreams" (from "Last of the Runaways") which had a very big, "arena rock" feel. Power-ballads may have been on their way out, but you really can't help but like the hook in this one and it makes you want to sing along. The other strong ...

  • 80s catchy cheese with sweet guitar playing

This one is definitely a period piece. Some nice musicianship and somewhat memorable and commercial-ish pop tunes, reflective of the times. Dan Huff can play the hell out of a guitar. Drumming is good, but would have sounded better if produced to sound like true beefy acoustic drums a la Tony Thompson. These guys remind me of Simple Minds anyway (Similar vocals and overbearing keyboards) but with pumped up guitar work. It's worth having just for the periodic shredding...

  • Very good CD

This debut album brought back the polished arena rock of the late70s/early80s,and was a nice alternative when at the time the rock scene was dominated mostly by glam-metal.Dann Huff's guitar playing is superb, while his soulful vocals remind me of the vocal god himself,Foreigner's Lou Gramm.Alan Pasqua's keyboards are subtle and melodic, while the rhythm section is tight and powerful.I'll See You in My Dreams was the biggesty hit,but there are many gems here. Time To Burn was even better.

  • EXCELLENT cd loaded with great songs!

I had a cassette single of "I'll See You in My Dreams" (one of my favorite songs!) from this CD for over 20 years. It was lost to me forever when my van was totaled. Boy was I thrilled to find and buy this CD from ebay! My favorite song will live on for another 20 years and more! Thanks!
