Simple but effective
It's a simple but very effective Christmas decoration to have around. It becomes a conversational piece and a fun way of teaching kids about physics (hot air moving the paddles...). I love it and made it a tradition in my family listening to the tiny bell sound that it makes on Christmas eve. It's also a great little gift too. The quality is good for the price. It's just a fun thing to have!

Disappointing
I was so excited to find these because I remember having them as a child. These really are the same ones they've been making for years, except for one thing: they don't work. The angels seem to be too far above the candles and there isn't enough heat to turn them. I'm certain I have them assembled correctly because I've done it hundreds of times. It's such a disappointment.

Just like I remembered.
I needed to sharpen the point on the steel rod that supports the spinner to make it spin more freely, but aside from that it worked like I remember from my childhood. Our 3 young grandchildren were mesmerized (and still) as we read Advent devotions. This is a delicate ornament and not a robust toy.

If you want it for a decoration to sit and look shiny it'll do. The blades were all bent, it wobbled like an out of balance tire, I got it adjusted to spin even but still the rods barely touch the bells, you have to put your head into the flame of the candle to hear the faintest "ding" I played with these types of chimes every year growing up and they were much better quality than these are. These are built very cheap and do not work properly. Very poor quality item. Looks shiny though. If you want it for a decoration to sit and look shiny it'll do.
