This handset is for use with the Panasonic KX-TG5571 (monochrome display) and the KX-TG5576 (color display) base units. The Panasonic KX-TGA552 handsets and the KX-TG5576 base unit are both fantastic. Panasonic phones are known for their features, reliability and clarity. When I purchased three extra handsets I failed to read that these were factory refurbished handsets, but when they arrived they looked absolutely brand new and functioned flawlessly. When registering the handsets to the base, remember to continue to hold down the [INTERCOM] button until the [CHARGE] indicator starts flashing. If you forget to do this you will not be able to sync the handsets to the base and get quite frustrated. I love all the advanced features for techies like myself, such as being able to download color photos and songs to the handsets, and to fiddle with the internal parameters. I have been told that PANASONIC and UNIDEN are the best cordless phones. I agree. Also, the new Bluetooth one from AT&T is fantastic.Read full review
I had originally purchased the panasonic base station and two handsets. The system has performed flawlessly over the past year. This is the best phone system I have ever purchased. The 5.x ghz frequency is crystal clear and the phone features work like a charm. It is easy to add handsets to your existing phone system too. You can add up to 8 handsets. I have 5 so far and have loved all of them since day one. I had a 2.4 ghz system and did not like the static in the line. I would highly recommend this phone system to anyone.
I love the fact that you can add picture id for callers, as well as customized ringers. Although you can only save 50 contacts/numbers in the phonebook, I found this to be enough for my household. Most people call my cell anyway. I love the color display. The blinking light on the antenna alerts me to calls if the phone is on silent mode, and to unheard voicemails. I bought these particular handsets to match the one I already had. The price was perfect for me and they work great all over the house. Overall, just love this home phone system.
We had bought this phone system (with two handsets)about two years ago and have been very happy with the quality of the sound, the special features and the ability to expand the system. When we decided that we needed additional handsets, the choice was to buy a whole new system or to find some of the add on handsets. I decided to buy two of the expansion sets and they are as good as the original. They came with all the accessories and I had them sync'd and up & running in just a few minutes.
Excellent phone. Works perfectly with your Panasonic KX-55XX series of phones. Would recommend to any one needing additional handsets for their system. Great screen, wonderful range and nice address book features.
