Disk's in great condition, everything looks fine. Unfortunately the game itself obviously wasn't designed around ps2 hardware and is slower than World Tour loading wise, and both have notable stuttering for me during gameplay.

The game disc doesn't work consistently, you kind of have to futz with the disc a few times before it's readable. It works for now, just a little bummed it does that. It still works so I don't feel comfy giving it less than three stars, but also doesn't work well, so I can't give it 5.

Another great game for all guitar hero fans. I bought this game a couple weeks ago, which arrived in perfect condition, and I must say I enjoy it very much. Awesome track list, some new game features, overall a very fun game that I would definitely recommend to others. A few cons of this game would be that it doesn't include all the extras and features like those in other platforms such as the PS3. The party mode is a bit useless, in my opinion, since you can't jump in and out of songs like it's suppose to do. There also wasn't the music studio feature. Load times are somewhat slow, but nothing much. Other than that, I think this game was a job well done. If your a fan of guitar hero, then you should get this one.
Guitar Hero 5's track list contains 85 songs by 83 separate artists, and like previous Guitar Hero games, several musicians with works in the game have been modeled through motion capture for avatars in the game, including Johnny Cash, Carlos Santana, Shirley Manson, Kurt Cobain, and Matthew Bellamy. The game continues to support the user-created music studio introduced in World Tour through GHTunes, and additional downloadable content for the game will be made available. A majority of existing downloadable tracks from World Tour are forward-compatible with Guitar Hero 5, along with selected tracks from World Tour and Guitar Hero Smash Hits. The game was well-received by reviewers who appreciated the improvements in the accessibility of the game, allowing players to immediately jump in and play without spending excessive time in the game's menus. Improvements to both the Career and competitive multiplayer modes were also highlights of the game. However, the game's track list was considered to be too broad, that while players will likely find a number of songs they enjoyed, they would also likely enough find a number that they would not like, and some controversy arose over the inclusion of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in the game.Read full review
A goofy game where you get to be Kurt Cobain...he'd probably hate it, but for Nirvana fans like my girlfriend, its one of those no-brainer games that can be fun...

To be honest, I'm really new at Guitar Hero stuff.. if I stumbled upon this great game was because I heard there were some of my favorite rock songs from my early teenage years... Nirvana, Rammstein, Blur, BON Jovi, among others. Graphics - Graphically the game is the best in the series for the ps2, you can create your own hero customize it with a lot of unlockable content as well, and it looks very slick while you're hammering you're favorite tunes. Though I still have to acquire the Metallica for PS2 as well, I have heard it's the best, I'll put that to the test in my next review. 8/10 GamePlay/Controllers - Hmm.. I was really skeptical that a Ps3 guitar would work on the long gone ps2 system, but to my surprise it's probably the best feeling of the guitar itself that made me stick with it. It has just around the perfect weight and level of difficulty for a guitar, though as I have mentioned earlier I am very new at this.. but I started playing out in medium and so far I'm loving it.. The Controllers are really responsive and I've been almost 10 feet away from the tv and the wireless usb adapter does the job exceptionally. 10/10 Content - The track-list is to me the most enjoyable, there are also a lot of unlockable characters, Santana Kurt Cobain, Shirley Manson, etc,. I have plaid around half of the game and I am very impressed with the songs available. Who doesn't love Teen Spirit by Nirvana?? or Song # 2 by Blur.. or who wouldn't want to go crazy jamming Du Hast by Rammstein.. we also have a few from The White Stripes. my son's favorite song from Flushed Away also, Dancing with My Self from Billy Idol, and also another great track from Gorillaz, Feel Good, Inc. Overall there's a song for everyone in the game. though I'm not a really knowledgeable rock fanatic I really love most of the tracks in the game, but probably the one that does it for me,is In My Place by ColdPlay, such an awesome feeling that track. I give it a 9/10 for content. Extras - The Game itself has a ton of extra stuff to unlock (I've named a few so far) but there's plenty of stuff to do, and probably the coolest thing after World tour is that you can hammer with 3 more of your buddies and have 2 guitarists and 2 bassists, which makes me much more enjoyable and watch them raw at each other when someone goes off key.. (it's hilarious seriously!!) 8/10 Overall - I guess I came a bit too late on the Guitar Hero era, but even though I paid about a quarter of the retail price (which msrp goes for 89.99 bucks) I probably would have paid it in full.. it is well worth it. For those mates out there who have any of the next gen console, it's really well worth the penny.. Hope this was helpful, but afterall anyone can say what's wrong and what's bad, but for some it might be the other way around, so I suggest to get it if you can find it, since it's becoming a rare title if you can. Overall Score - 9/10Read full review
Another excellent installment of Guitar Hero. Great fun for the whole family! This series of games is ideal for anyone wanting a game that will bring the whole family together for loads of fun. It has practice and Easy sections for the younger family members to learn on (my 7 & 6 year old can play pretty well after just a couple of days of practice) and it's Medium, Hard, and Expert levels are filled with great songs and plenty of fun for the older family members (mine are 16, 28, & 52). We all love it and play together. It's one of the first games I've found that will actually get the whole family sitting down & having fun together! I highly recommend this game for all age groups & especially for any moms out there that are looking for a fun way to get the whole family together. An excellent way to bring back family game night!Read full review
C'mon, it's GH, they're all pretty decent for the most part..as in all GH games, there's always going to be a song or five that you hate.. Would love it if I could create my own GH from a list of all GH songs. Hey GH bigwigs, there's an idea that would go over extremely well!

I really loved how fast i received this game and the fact that it had no scratches on it at all was awesome. I love how many songs you can unlock and that you can start a band with this game. I also was unaware that i couldn't use my ps controller paddle for this one but hey it's been years since i've owned a guitar hero game lol. the last one i had before this is Guitar Hero encore: rocks the 80s.
Only lasts two days just quit working today. The game is amazing there is a lot of good songs. One of them is smells like teen spirit. And they have Johnny cash. Lasts two days but, I think it is just the game cause the first one I got lasts two days two so yeah really not the worth buy.
