    As an ardent Genesis fan from the '70s, I had always followed Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins as solo artists, but no others. I remember hearing Spectral Mornings when it was released but it didn't grab me at the time. In the past few months I have been collecting all Steve's solo albums and this one really is a belter! Anything Genesis done by a band other than Genesis always sounds odd to me at first as I know all the original works so well and this CD requires repeated plays before one 'gets it'. I really 'get' this album now from start to finish. Some of the orchestrations are very different to the originals, as are the vocal styles, and some improvements on the original tracks are there, to my ear at least.
