I bought this on another eBay account earlier this year and the keyboard is not as bad as people say, the Touch Bar is great as is Touch ID, and the battery lasts for 4-5 hours the trackpad is great, I bought a Magic Mouse to use with it, but I never do because the trackpad is so large and you can click anywhere on it which is great. Overall great value.

Compared to the 2015 model, the 2016 is lighter and slightly smaller. It features TouchID and USB-C ports. The trackpad is huge, and the screen has more brightness. They come in space grey and silver colors. The keyboard is redesigned, with a very short throw. Overall a solidly built unit. I am not sure on the performance, they seem to have focused exclusively on compute engine scoring and forgot about most other things, as these units benchmark typically close to or slower than the 2015 models. The keyboard is good, though oddly loud. It's not unpleasant, just not always appropriate. The giant trackpad is great though it has a weird hollow sound to it. The lack of 'legacy' ports may be an issue for some, though Apple has plenty of adapter dongles for additional cost. The retail price seems exorbitant. It's definitely recommended to buy from a reputable vendor on eBay that is selling them for any kind of discount.Read full review

Excellent product, in beautiful condition, I have nothing to complain about. I love having Touch ID, by the way.

When I bought this laptop, Sierra sucked the batter life out of it -- no more than 2 hours from full charge. Since then Apple has released updates that greatly improve the battery life, probably more like 6 hours from full charge which is acceptable though not close to advertised. That said, being a programmer, this is my go-to work computer & I do a lot of compiling so maybe that's the reason why? Excepting the battery life, the computer is a worthwhile upgrade from my prior MacBook Pro Retina 2012. Nothing spectacular; somewhat faster overall, and I do love the increased screen real-estate. The higher pixel density alone was worth the extra $ for my uses of this laptop! My primary complaint now is that I'm still getting used to the new keyboard, and still frequently hit multiple keys when I wouldn't in the prior laptop since the keys had a little more space between them. Small issue, but between that and autocorrect I find I have to review my writing with a keen eye, which takes additional time compared to the prior laptop.Read full review
