no jazz, no swing

An historical musical snapshot of an era
It's main value lies in being a historical snapshot of an era. The story is merely an excuse to show the various acts and routines and not all of the music is jazz. Probably the best things about the blu ray is seeing (in several numbers) the first filmed appearance of a young Bing Crosby before he ruled the world of popular music and the gorgeous hi def color reproduction. It's hard to believe a film that old can look so good.It's main value lies in being a historical snapshot of an era.
