Well this book means more to me than just a wonder book. I have had the original first edition for at least 72 years. It was my favorite book of all time and I’ve repeated the story many times without having the book in hand. It belongs to my 51 year old daughter now. I ordered it to send to a special little 3 year old who hopefully will make it her keepsake.

I purchased this book because it was my favorite book as a child. The copy we had back then was actually a book we had from when my 2 older sisters got it as children. It was worn and dog eared, but still the best story ever. This is a brand new reprinting of this classic story. The picture quality does not seem as clear and crisp as the original but I am grateful to have been able to find a copy of the story at a cheaper price than the originals. Some day I will try and buy an original but for now this copy fills the bill nicely. I recommend this book to all parents and grandparents to buy for the children they love. Sit down and read it together and enjoy the bond it will bring.
Grandpa Bunny is a beautifully illustrated little story about Easter and color and teamwork. More important, is its gentle examination of a important topic that is very difficult to address in children's literature: the aging and ultimate death of a loved one. It is a unique, important book for a child. I still have the remnants of my 1951 edition, and in the pre-eBay years sought out and purchased a 1951 edition (expensive!) for my daughter. The 2007 reprint, although not quite the technical quality of the 1951, makes it affordable for any child's library. I highly recommend Grandpa Bunny and I give it as gifts.

Best Book EVER!!!! Great kids book, but most importantly, this book was read to me by my Grandma, it has a great story line to it and out of all books, this is a must have...it falls in the category of Runaway Bunny, Goodnight Moon, etc. I am glad to see that it is still available, this will be a book that I will purchase for all children....except this one was for myself.
