Very good, solidly built unit. Heavier than you would think, but that correlates to what I read that they used a heavy duty blu-ray device in it. Only two minor complaints. 1) I wish it had the time display on the front. I just like seeing how far I am into a disc without having to hit "pause". 2) I wish it came pre-loaded with a few more features other than prime and netflix. I like running Pandora through this, and it isn't an option. Finally got it to work through an app in my Sony TV, but it took a while.

Decent unit, but not overly fancy. Also, be aware Lepai has two models using this same LP-269FS part number. One like this one has no Bluetooth, while slightly newer versions have the Bluetooth version. So be aware! I ended up buying a 2 DIN touch screen radio (AM/FM/Bluetooth, USB, MP3 Flashdrive) for less than $80 USD that puts this Lepai to shame. Bottom line is it a bad deal? No, but it isn't great either. I used mine as an amplifier connected to one of my computers. Oh yeah, those speaker quick connects on the rear are also very cheap. As you can see in the pictured unit one is broken. I ended up swapping mine out for a screw terminal block connection.

Bought this to replace OPPO dvd and SONY blu ray players used for dvd-audio/ sacd / blu ray listening and viewing. dvd-audio via hdmi to an older 7.1 av receiver sound is vastly improved, playing at a higher resolution than the OPPO. Never knew how good they could sound. sacd and blu ray audio are excellent, as before. cd sound is also markedly better using an up-scaling function that restores high end crispness (only in stereo). dvd movie image is also improved with deeper colors. I have not moved to a 4K tv and av system but my blu ray movies look wonderful and I have not experienced any snagging or stalling (especially at layer transition points) that happened with my older SONY player. Yes, having to go into set up to turn on and off Dolby Vision is clunky but I have no such discs yet. Set up was straight forward and I am very happy with how this player functions. If you want to keep playing dvd-a and sacd using one player this is it!Read full review
