About this product

Product Information

Wild Cat Falling is the story of an Aboriginal youth, a 'bodgie' of the early sixties who grows up on the ragged outskirts of a country town, falls into petty crime, goes to gaol, and comes out to do battle once more with the society who put him there. Its publication in 1965 marked a unique literary event, for this was the first novel by any writer of Aboriginal blood to be published in Australia. As well, it is a remarkable piece of literature in its own right, expressing the dilemmas and conflicts of the young Aboriginal in modern Australian society with its memorable insight and stylishness.

Item arrived as described, but came with a price sticker on the back. When carefully peeling the sticker off the back cover of the book tore. The book appears to be made with poor quality materials. Seller was not in the least bit interested in helping, replying essentially "not our problem". I do not recommend this seller or this product. We bought a few hundred $ worth of these and similar items from different eBay suppliers. This was the only book that was rubbish, was was their support.

Book arrived in excellent condition; well packed. The seller is not at fault in the time it took for the book to be delivered by Australia Post. The seller even offered to return a percentage of the purchase price because of Australia Post's poor delivery service, a fine gesture but not taken up for the reason mentioned above.
