There are a lot of DBZ fighting games, and this was one of the earlier ones, but it holds up well. This is a great game to pull out when friends are over and you want something nostalgic to play that you can just pick up and go without worrying too much about plot.

I bought this game for my girlfriend it doesn’t personally catch my attention as I love Street Fighter better but she loved it 😎

It's not a revolutionary title, but if you're looking for a Dragon ball game and don't know where to start, grab this game. The fighting is a bit simple, but the attention to detail and it's truthfulness to the manga and anime make this worth buying.

If you're a fan of DBZ, you will likely enjoy this game. If you're NOT a fan of this game, you shouldn't even consider buying it. The actual gameplay (2D fighting) is very clunky, overly simplistic and more often than not incredibly frustrating. Playing against a computer player is a chore. But if you're going to be playing with some other friends who are fans of the show, then the Duel mode is pretty fun. Not worth much more than $10 (tops) in this day and age, when many, many better fighting games have come out.
Very happy

I was disappointed on this title for the gamecube. You couldn't choose what you bought with earned money, and it was the SAME STORY LINE as the previous titles. There was nothing new to this game other than the fact that it was 3D. A lot of moves were lacking (ie flying) from the original. It was a waste of time trying to unlock features with earned 'zenny' when you only got random rewards, weather you have already punched them or not. I regret buying this game. It was only good for a day. I'll be posting this for sale and hopefully I'll get a penny for it. If it's even worth that.... . . . .
Pretty good game for Gamecube. It's a little weak in the moves department when compared to Budokai 3 for PS2, but if you can mash buttons (like my five year old), then you can be pretty good at the game. It's a good equalizer for kids and adults of all ages - less reliance on special moves/button combinations - so it's probably a better game if you have a range of ages that you need to please.
Dragon ball z budokia is a great game for any dragon ball z fan
