      Sharp

      I have only used these inserts for making light cuts in free machining steel, but they do a good job. They are sharp enough to use on a mini lathe and produce a good surface finish.

      Carbide inserts for machining aluminum

      These are great insert for machining aluminum on my mini-lathe, Surface finish is very good. Chips break into small pieces and are not stringy.
