The IC-4 rating is great, meaning it is OK to place ceiling bats over it in the ceiling cavity. It has no transformer (one less thing to go wrong!!) and has an Aussie plug on the end of its power lead, meaning it is deemed an appliance and does not require a sparky to install it if it is merely replacing like for like; otherwise a Sparky would be required to install.
