Limited edition 2011 reissue on 180-gram vinyl. Until this album's initial release in 1956, Chet was known strictly as a trumpeter. A remarkably talented trumpeter. "Chet Baker Sings" changed that, and Chet became a noted singer, too. Originally produced in 1956 as just a 10" LP, this 2011 reissue features 14 tracks that showcase his strengths at the mic. His warm vocals embrace a song just as his trumpet does. How can you resist his renditions of "That Old Feeling," "It's Always You," "But Not for Me," "There Will Never Be Another You" and later songs such as "Time after Time" and "The Thrill Is Gone." Joining him on the album are pianist Russ Freeman, bassist Carson Smith and drummer Bob Neel.

    Great album

    My absolute favorite Chet album. Beautiful sound on this pressing. However, this company seems to have quality control issues. One track had very loud pops on a brand new copy. So I had to order a second copy from a different manufacturer. Cover art is classic, and the sound is excellent, but this manufacture has a lot of quality issues. Scuffs and pops are common on shrink wrapped copies. Half the records I have bought from this vinyl label have had issues.

    Vinyl record of bad quality

    The vinyl sounds glitchy and in three tracks on Side B (Track 1, 7 and 8) I hear popping sound. Plese let me know how I can get a replacement thank you Genc

    All in all, I am content with my purchase. Upon first glance, the packaging seemed really well done. When I opened the lp I noticed a tear in the cover. It’s quite bad and looks like it had been smashed. The record itself is in good condition, and the paper delve it comes in is quite good. Wish the cover had not been torn the way it was. If you are selling new vinyl on line, not only the record, but the cover, should be mint. My personally taste in music inclined me to recommend this album.
