    For KATO fans, this power pack is all you truly need to get up and running. The design is simple; voltage for trains and accessories is more than adequate. It’s ‘plug and play’ convenience at its finest. If you’ve ever pondered over a purchase, wait no longer. I promise you, you’ll not be disappointed. I’ve owned six of these throttles and have always been most satisfied.

    Kato Power Pack

    You can not go wrong with Kato. Make sure to purchase the appropriates N or Ho transformer or you can not power up the power pack! Strongly consider purchasing the Kato sound box. This gives greatly more realism and realistic starts and stops for your trains with realistic start and stop sounds.

    Kato Power Pack

    This power pack is well made and solid. The speed control works smoothly as does the reversing switch. I haven't tried connecting the outboard turnout switches and other items, but I expect that they will be just as well implemented.

    Robust and reliable power for model trains.

    This is one of the best analog power packs for HO and N scale trains. Simple, robust, with plenty of power, with 1.2 Amperes, you can easily handle 3 or more locomotives in a consist with a heavy string of freight cars. Also the fact that the throttle itself resembles a real life urban train throttle, adds fun and realism. Definitely you can not go wrong with this.

    Kato works well

    Kato powerpacks are designed to work seamlessly with other Kato products ( the Kato sound box, Kato track signals, Kato track switches, Kato track power, etc) so its all just easy plug and play with not messing around with wiring
