    Lightweight and good looking

    Purchased the Ritchey comp4 30d 80mm stem to replace a 60mm 6d stem. Added the height I needed without shortening my reach by much. More impressive is how much lighter the stem is when compared to the one it replaced. Manual included in packaging refers to it as a road stem but I’m using it on my rigid cc mtb and it looks great. Very pleased with the design. One point of mention, the bolts on my unit are black (not chrome as pictured). This could be a manufacturer update to the original specs. It works for me as I’ve got blacked out components on my cockpit but I want to mention it for anyone who prefers chrome. It’s my experience that chrome bolts are more refined but the black ones bolt in fine with a little grease.

    What I like about the stem is the 30 degree rise which keeps the spacer stack low. The stem has a svelte shape , nicely styled.
