    Outstanding Camera

My 2nd Canon T70 - It was a steal, 99 cents & shipping, $7.97 total. It is in perfect condition, beautiful. Works perfectly (as my original T70) and has taken some of the most beautiful photographs ever. VERY easy to use with plenty of features. Outstanding camera to use with your collection of Canon FD mount lenses. Love, love, LOVE this camera.

  • Top critical review

Not lightweight. Battery cover issues. AA battery operation is a plus along with FD lens mount.

I fell for some of the hype for the T70 but essentially received a copy with the battery door problems. My copy had evidence of battery leakage which took out the bottom cover. I did a quick check with some aluminum bridging the cover. The camera powered up, took readings and fired the shutter. Now wondering if I should pay more to fix the problem when the camera can go kaput at any time. First impression was despite the plastic body, the T70 was heavy. Using AA batteries is a big advantage. Would I trust a T70 for important photos? No, I will stick with my mechanical slrs.

  • Good value, good pictures!

I bought this camera as a back-up body for my AE-1 Program camera for film photography using my fd mount canon lenses. I have found it straight forward to use and it feels very sturdy in my hands. I like the different metering options, and the fact that it uses readily available AA batteries.I use it mostly for casual shooting pictures of family and everyday life, and the pictures seem well exposed. In fact, I liked it enough that I bought a second body...the prices are low for this body.

  • Excellent quality camera

If you want a cheap and reliable camera from the 1980s look no further. Camera has all the bells and whistles that you could ask for. These typically sell for around 40-60 CAD depending on condition. Anything higher I would say negotiate if possible. Picked up a near mint and complete example with a 50mm lens for 40 CAD shipped

  • Happy And Yet Disappointed

I was pleasantly surprised when the item arrived 2 days than the expected arrival date but disappointed with a few things after inspecting the camera. 1. There's evidence of battery corrosion but the camera still turns on after inserting the batteries. 2. There are 2 very small screws used to hold the battery contact against the battery door, causing the plastic to cracking. I'm worried that with time, it's going to crumble and break and then there will be nothing there to hold the batteries in place. 3. The eye piece is also cracked and damaged. Somebody tried to do a temporary fix by using tape. 4. The motor sounds weak, but I'll know for sure if there's a problem after inserting a roll of film and taking some pictures. I'm disappointed because none of these issues were mentioned in ...
