  • Fine performance, Quality recording

While there are many fine recordings of this much loved work, Valery Gergiev has the full measure of this score. Do yourself a favor and acquire it, perhaps along with Kondrashin’s time honored version as well. While the notes are the same for both conductors, the Russians seem to pull out of them something extra that’s quite unique. Enjoy!
