    Starter Motor not supplied with mounting nuts

    Probably due to it being compatible with many makes and models of products, the mounting nuts were not supplied with the motor. The nuts from my old motor were 10-32. The mounting bolts on this motor required 10-24 nuts...which required a trip to the hardware store. The seller needs to state in their AD the mounting bolts are 10-24 and the matching nuts are NOT supplied. The electrical terminal was supplied with a nut that was the same as my old motor. otherwise, the motor works as expected.

    Good starter so far.

    Starter had plastic protector over bendix. This must be a new design, however starter fit and works fine. A note telling purchaser that the plastic protector must stay on starter will help keep folks from trying to pull it off.

    A Reasonable Replacement

    I replaced an existing failed starter with this one and it brought my machine back to life. The one con I have is they only last about two seasons due to brush failure. I wish Kohler would come up with a better solution.
