Product Information

Electronic Arts continues their exclusive relationship with the cinematic versions of J.R.R. Tolkien's famous trilogy with the release of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. In this combat game based on the third film by Peter Jackson, players will fight legions of orcs and other creatures from a third-person perspective as heroes Aragorn, Gimli, or Legolas. Following the same structure as its action-oriented predecessor, players will wield swords, axes, daggers, and bows to fight multiple enemies simultaneously. Featured locales include Minas Tirith, Mount Doom, and more, with each environment offering multiple tiers or planes to travel across. Now characters will be able to jump and climb, enabling them to interact with their surroundings to a greater degree. Film composer Howard Shore's epic score punctuates the battles as the original cast provides the voice acting. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King also features a number of film clips used as segues to the game's action scenes.

    overall great experience. the seller clearly knows their stuff and i would gladly buy from them again. disc arrived in good condition and as shown. however getting to a certain stage, the game would stall at the loading screen. i started a refund request, and the seller suggested a partial refund to cover the costs of getting the disc resurfaced. i went to a local game store offering this service, and afterwards it worked again!

    Excellent and Nostalgic!

    As a kid is play this game all the time, and it played a special part in me being a Lord of the Rings nerd. It stays true to the movie, and has the same actors from the film to voice the characters. There's also special content interviewing the actors' opinion on gaming or voicing their characters, and great concept art. Cool game altogether!

    Great game but heavily scratched disc

    The disc was heavily scratched and froze the first 5 times trying to play. After cleaning it a few times finally got the game to work but would freeze at the cinematic scenes as i could not skip them on my 360. Decided to dust off my original xbox and it still freezes at the cinematic scenes, but im' able to skip those and the game play is just fine on the old xbox. Delivery was great, glad to find this game so affordable after all these years. Just disappointed with the quality of the disc.

    Great action adventure game

    It's a good game. I never played it back in the day but it's fun and pretty cool how many characters you can choose from. Great game for any LOTR fan .
