      Battery Monitor - Worth abouth $10

      I tried this on my 48 volt system to view the charge state of my battery bank. When I read the description, they say it is self powered. The power leads are tiny 30 AWG - which is extremely small for the rated 100 amp. If you hook this up to anything other than the battery you are monitoring the reading is not correct. The transducer unit has a short length cable that limits where you can mount it. Also the hole diameter is about 1/2". After trying to make this work I gave up! There are too many limiting factors to make this device usable for "Battery Bank" monitoring. Wasted time & dollars on this one. Non existent manual in the box on how to set it up. I contacted the seller but haven't heard anything back yet. My professional opinion is that this is a prototype.
