Robust mounting system for any large GPS
Purchased this part as the less expensive alternative was not well made and could not support the heavy 7 inch Garmin GPS. This one has a solid structure and large suction cup so works well and was reasonably priced. Very prompt delivery, too. Recommend the model for larger GPS models.

Another after market part, less than hoped for.
All looked fine and the friction ball measured correctly, 17mm, with a Harbor Freight plastic caliper. 😀 However, this is a friction dependent ball and socket fit to hold the GPS screen firmly in the desired position. The ball circumference is slightly out of tolerance resulting in the screen dropping face down to the lowest possible position. I made several wraps with 1/2” Teflon tape in an attempt to make the fit more snug. There was improvement until experiencing a rough area of pavement at highway speed. Back to face down. My next attempt to snug the fit was several wraps(3-4), using plastic food wrap film. This provided a tighter fit and seems to hold the unit in place regardless of the pavement condition. My concern is, the the receiver opening for the ball may be ... Thought my $350+ GPS was going to be trash until I found this! As a professional trucker, I would've been lost without this replacement part. It works excellently, just like the original product. Electrical connect
Only wanted the connecter, not the suction holder. Easier to have the separate bracket to leave attached in the car and still be able to take the in it indoors. Still worth the price.
