      Pretty easy to install, works how I hoped.

      I was a bit worried about my ability to install it. I am all thumbs when it comes to mechanical work. But I watched the video walk-thru on the internet (they provided where to find it). I used an adjustable crescent wrench (really common household item) and the tool they provided and did the install in about 20 minutes. It works just as I had hoped it would.

      Not as easy as it should have been to install

      There was definitely a lot of 'fiddling' and challenges in getting the thing installed because of the very goofy-designed rivet-like main bolt that holds everything together. It certainly could have been better designed to make installation easier. However, once that's done, the rest took only a few minutes and was very easy to do. The end product is pretty cool, and does make it much easier, and adds a pretty cool effect, to open the tailgate.

      Installation instructions

      I've had this product and have installed on previous vehicles it works exactly as described so when I purchased my new vehicle, 2016 Dodge Ram, the installation was different than I remembered? Their was a need for extra specific tools that were required to do the installation. This was a minor set back for me as I had to purchase tools to complete the installation of this product. Where as before I remember it was a simple no tools were needed? Everything to install was provided...

      If you want your tailgate to drop SMOOTH? Get this kit, it is awesome. I just hsppened to see this kit in s YouTube video and was like Ill try it. LOVE IT. Just click the handle and the tailgate lowers. Woo, got to love it!
