This is the most perfectly balanced Gibson Jumbo body guitar that you will ever find. The tone is balanced right across the spectrum. Lows are not booming, mids are not lost, and highs are not piercing. Light as a feather, scalloped bracing and slightly arched top give the guitar better projection. Ren Furgeson redesigned the J200 into this beauty. You have to play one to appreciate it. This is not just another pretty guitar.

This product is almost 16 years old, and it is in almost new condition. The quality of workmanship is beyond compare in this price range ($2,000 - $2,500), and as an added benefit, this acoustic can also be plugged-in. The sound of this instrument is well balanced between notes and octaves. This is the easiest acoustic I have ever played Barr Chords on, all the way up to the 13/14th fret. Cosmetically, the top wood has a vintage look of a guitar twice its age; the Koa is book-matched. Certainly, the best tone woods went into making this guitar, coupled with perhaps some of the best craftsmanship in this world.

Well...I love it. Five years ago I tried a Gibson in a guitar shop, and I said to myself "I need one. I want one". Since that day, I was looking at hem, passing on eBay one after the other, until the day I found myself having the guts –and the money- to press the “buy now” button. I don’t regret it an ounce. This guitar is just what I was looking for. Great and loud sound full of harmonics on any tone. I also these upgrades that Gibson “elite custom shop” features and especially this ebony finger board “the Gibson way”. No No, don’t dream about my guitar. Now that it’s mine, you won’t see it on the market. , I love it, I love it.
I have owned a lot of guitars, but this SJ-200 is the best sounding guitar I have ever played. The articulation of the notes is extremely clear. You can pick out each part of a string clearly. Whether you are chord strumming or finger picking each note comes through. The neck has a comfortable feel, and the electronics are spot on.

Played the Ej200 against Ej200cE. The cutaway doesn't sound as full. Then asked the store owner if I could play a $3800 Gibson USA. The difference was very slight but almost identical. It could have been attributed to strings, I was amazed that the epi sounded that close for 1/4 the cost. Now I know why Gibson quit making the EPi Ej200, and added a cutaway model. Truthfully I would like to own a Gibson someday but until then The non cutaway EPi is very close . Great Bank for your Buck. Personally tho I would pass on the EJ200CE. Since the non cutaway is no longer produced they are sure to become harder to get and command a higher price
