Recoton is an old wireless system that has stood the test of time for basic sound. It never was intended to be high def; it provides adequate sound with good range. The vendor provided the product as advertised ahead of the receiving date.

These speakers do work but, dont expect them to compete with todays high powered electronice. They play well at moderate levels (1/4) power but dont try 1/2 or you likely to get static feedback . my stereo is only 15 watts ! was surprised by the inability to handle that but, i guess you get what you pay for.

This is a great sounding speaker system with plenty of volume and hefty build construction. From what I've read they can be prone to cabinet rattling, meaning at higher volume the plastic speaker box will vibrate because of something loose inside or the need for some vibration damping material inside, which you can do yourself, and which one of my speakers needs, but I haven't gotten around to yet. The big shortcoming to me is there is no tone control, but Advent chose a good contour that makes a good compromise of bass and treble.
To get the proper sound from the system, you have to plug the transmitter to the correct output at the rear of your amplifier. It will not work if you try to plug it into the earphone output, since the impedance will not match and you will get a distorted signal. The sealed speakers work very good and have an excellent sound quality.

Good sound quality and is close to new. I didn't need stereo to listen to TV news on my deck, so this worked for my needs. I have an older TV with analog audio output. The operating range is better than 100 ft.
