I found it was not compatible with the previous version, in terms of you could not take the transmitter of the new model and use it to replace the transmitter of the old model which had finally died after two years in the open weather. You have to replace both the transmitter and receiver. Compared to other similar beams available, this is a good price.

When I went to buy the second unit, I contacted the buyer and he answered my questions immediately. So when the device arrived it connected without issue! Highly Recommend!
