Gives great sharp images. I was new to manual focus so that was a learning curve for me but I use this lens on my Canon EOS M50 with the Viltrox adapter and it works great!

It works as advertised. Good = you can shoot in low lights, and it's cheap. Bad = it's very hard to focus accurately at F/1.4. I had to put camera on a tripod and magnify LCD display to focus perfectly. This is a luxury you don't have on the go. The auto focus models would cost $600 more. You get what you paid for? You won't have this problem if you shoot at F4. It's a nice tory.
At this price point you can't find a better lens with a potential to improve your photography so much! This lens makes you think when you are framing a shot, as you need to take care about manual focusing as well, but it is very rewarding after a while when you get used to it, and it just melts away the background and makes your subject stand out.

Great fast fixed 1.4 85mm people today want autofocus and nothing else , you can use live view to get a super sharp image or take a few extra shots around where you think is the best focus area is. Real photographers can appreciate a fast fixed manual lens, solid and sharp

Used wide open to give a nice soft background to portraits. Much cheaper than higher end lenses. Highly recommended.
