    Much better product. I purchased the other version[orange and is 2 pieces sold at AutoZone ],it kept popping out, n iwould have to get under my truck to reconnect it,in order 4 my transmission. To engage.like wt..... But this version is almost like the factory bushing,its 1 piece,easy install.n saves you ALOT of time ,money,the stress to order new shift link cable ,n then to take the centerconsole and other things out to unstall and reinstall new 1.My wife broke down because autozone brand was crap,n i had to go get my other car n drive from brooklyn to queens and risk getting ran over n burned 2 reconnect it . So 2 answer your question,Yessss its Well worth!!! Its Awesome Sauce!! lol

    Failed after almost 1-year

    I installed this on my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer almost exactly 1-year ago to replace the original that had been in-service for 13-years (i am the original owner). The install was pretty much as easy as indicated in the video. But now, the bushing failed and the cable has fallen off again (and won't stay on) at a most inopportune time. I had to wire it on to be able to use the vehicle in the short term. I bought a different bushing from another supplier this time. It is not worth the time and risk to have it fail again when I might be in another bind or pressed for time.

    It is amazing how a product that cost 8 cents to produce can be sold for more than 20 plus dollars. This product is good, it replaced the original and fit in easily, i was done in less than two minutes for part that should have been recalled by FORD. This can be disabling to a vehicle owner if you are not even the slightest bit auto-mechanic, you would have to have your car towed in and by the time the dealer replaced it thinking you had a major transmission issue this little rubber bushing was all that was wrong. The part is good, the quality is good it is just expensive for something that is manufactured for 8 cents. IT saved me a money, but i am car smart and a mechanic, if it had been my wife she would have been taken for a few hundred dollars on this. I recommend to order this ...

  • Installation tips 2016 Ford Transit Connect.

    Installation is easy. I loosened the rubber connection tube located between the throttle body and air filter and moved it out of the way, The end of the shifter cable and control arm should be visible. Remove the old white plastic bushing and install new piece. The flat side of the shifter cable faces down. Press firmly down to seat bushing. Re-install throttle body tube and you're done. Not sure on the longevity of the piece, as the install was two weeks ago, however it seems to work fine. Ford transit Connect 2016.

  • Skip the generic repaclement parts - this really works!

    2010 Ford Focus - bought every generic "one size doesn't fit all" replacement bushing available in the local auto parts stores (just to save time). Some were unusable. A couple I had to shave down to fit. Some were a little too loose. In the end, none of them worked. I ordered this part from Ascension Engineering - it arrived pretty quickly and - YES!! - in a couple of minutes (literally, after disassembling the center console) it was in place and working! What a deal! I definitely recommend.
