      Great for Mushrooms and soft veggies, but not eggs! As like other "Bladed" cutters it doesn't work on eggs as well as wire type cutters. A must for Mushrooms, Strawberries and other soft veggies and fruits.

      I must have got one with dull blades

      I bought this item because of the reviews. I got it in, washed it. Tried to slice cherry tomatoes for a salad...it just turned them to tomatoe juice. Tried cutting baby Bella mushrooms, made a mess of them. I've tried hard boiled eggs, not that great. The blades are dull. This is definitely not a good product or I'm just the lucky soul that got a dull one.

      Great, necessary.

      I would not be without it but don't put it in the dishwasher. Used every summer for strawberries, cuts them doesn't mush them, all year round for mushrooms, buy smaller ones tut don't need to be buttons, rinse afte use esp after cutting strawberries. My husband put my last one in the dishwasher and it was ruined, I was so relieved to be able to buy another. Thanks Norpro, a good product is hard to find.

      no Breaking after 1 use

      I think I finally found an egg slicer that won't break after the first use. These blades could cut steak. Normally the cutting wire is a small diameter fish line or wire. Not These There is No Wire there is an actual Cutting Bade a full 1/4 or .250 in. thick blade. If this egg slicer works as well as it looks I will never have 2 buy another. thanks tom hard2please/hard2satisfy
