      The guy from Geek2U said it was a good buy with great features.

      I had a guy out from Geeks2U and he's the one that suggested I buy this one. It's not set up yet because he fixed the problem for now but said as soon as I start having problems again with the modem to switch over to this one.

      Update your WiFi Router

      This unit gives high speed and around 12metre range on 5Ghz. I placed it 6 feet off the ground. I am using a 100Mbps plan. I get full speed on my smart tv which results in more reliable streaming so I can watch without buffering. In my case a LAN cable was not needed. A greater range on 2.4Ghz but maximum speed is 54Mbps still acceptable for watching from the Internet.

      Modem does what I expected it to do

      Had a few problems when I first hooked it up - kept dropping out (often) randomly. For a day and a half I seriously thought about sending it back. Wasn't the modems fault. With a series of eliminations, had to reset my chromecast devices and reinstall them Been up for 7 days now without any problems. Very easy to connect. Previously I had an older Telstra modem so am familiar with the web interface and have no problems with it.

      Great cheap modem once rooted

      Once you get access to root and remove all the telstra blocking they unit can be used with any ISP in OZ and works a treat. Setting up the VOIP is a breeze once it has been rooted. Great WIFI and solid connection on FTTN

      Great NBN modem with 4G backup if you are a Telstra customer

      After resetting the device back to factory default and connecting to my NBN connection (FTTN) it took about 25-30 minutes of activity and auto restarts for all connection details to download and the 4G to enable, which in my setup achieved about 11Mbps download. A good upgrade from the Gen 1 modem I had before.
