Great sounds, reliable unit, easy to organise patches on PC with free software
As a bass player in a covers band, different tones and effects at needed for different artists. Really great fun researching a player’s sound and putting the effects into a “patch.” I found it easiest to hook up to a laptop using the free software, lining up all the effects, labelling it and adjusting some parameters. Then playing and rehearsing to adjust the sounds by ear. I got some great chorus sound for Guns ‘n’ Roses, a decent Motörhead sound, and even some tricky Muse effects. Not to mention various mildly overdriven sounds and a really nice Classic Fender Precision tone. I even got a reasonable (not accurate) cello sound (intro to I Write Sins not Tragedies- Panic at the disco) As a bass player in a covers band, different tones and effects at needed for different artists.
